It's the mating surface that counts and not how round a seal is. I don't clean or paint any of these set anymore as the money they sell for is not worth the effort. These parts came from a mid 80's boat and will fit most all Volvo out drives before the SC series.

The seals, even if flatter then others are still good and usable.
